I wanted something casual for lunch, and so got a jalapeno cheese naan from zareens. I believe Palo Alto might be one of the only locations that have cheese filled naan, and despite that it costed $6 which is double the price of other naans, it was actually really worth it. The naan was completely filled with cheese and bits of jalapeno. The jalapeno wasn't very spicy, but the cheese was very satisfying especially since the naan bread was soft and tasty. This cheese naan had more cheese than your usual slice of pizza or quesadilla; every piece had a layer of cheese in between, so it's definitely worth trying it out.
Stopped by this place for a late-night bite, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Despite it being a weekday, the place was bustling with people, which speaks volumes about its popularity. I ordered the chicken tikka masala plate, and it was the perfect meal for me. The flavors were well-balanced and the tikka masala was incredibly flavorful. The lentils were a delightful addition, but what really blew me away was the salad with tamarind chutney sauce--simply amazing! I also tried the garlic naan, but I preferred the regular naan. The garlic naan lacked the garlic flavor I was expecting. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm definitely coming back to try other dishes!
Went on a saturday evening and definitely found seats much faster than on the friday night i first went. My partner accidentally ordered butter chicken, when i wanted chicken tikka masala. This was still good though, just less tomato taste. The chicken itself had a great char. We also got the palak aloo as we never tried it and we would definitely get the paneer next time
Today, I took my mom out for her birthday dinner. We had a wonderful time as a family of 7 and enjoyed the most delicious meal. I've noticed a significant improvement in the already great service at this location. Specifically, a gentleman named Prabhat provided exceptional assistance and checked in with us multiple times to ensure our needs were met. Our favorite dishes at this restaurant include Gola kabob, CTM, Seasame Naan, Nihari, Palak, and Sheermal. However, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Overall, I highly recommend this place and consider it one of the top 5 restaurants to visit in the Bay Area.
Great food, amazing vibe would highly recommend to everyone. I recently dined at Zareen's in Palo Alto and loved the experience. The chicken tikka masala and lamb gosht were flavorful and tender. The garlic naan was fluffy and paired well with the dishes. Despite the busy atmosphere, service was efficient and the staff friendly. The outdoor seating added a pleasant touch. Prices are a bit high, but the quality justifies it. Vegan and vegetarian options are available, making it a great spot for everyone. I'll definitely return. **Rating: 4.5/5**
Great food, service, and ambiance! Ishu is a phenomenal waitress! We come here almost every night for chai and fries and are always met with great service. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the peninsula!
WOW. So insanely good. I'm still thinking about this meal because it was so good!! I hadn't had good Indian food in a while, and man, this definitely satisfied my cravings. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes to order our food, and then it took about 30 minutes once we sat down at our table. I can see why every single table was full and why the restaurant was still crowded at 10:30 pm. This place has delicious and affordable Indian/Pakistani food. We got the palak gosht thali, chicken tikka wrap, and a chicken boti sizzler with naan. This was the softest naan ever. I hate when naan is too thin or overcooked to the point where it is hard to chew, but this was insanely soft, thick, and buttery! The mutton was very well seasoned and soft too. The chicken tikka wrap was exactly how I wanted it to be and more. It was perfectly seasoned, and the sauce on the side made it even tastier. Finally, we got the chicken boti sizzler, which is the most popular menu item. The chicken was so juicy and tender, and the naan with the chicken was simply immaculate. I will be back soon, and next time, I want to try the tandoori chicken burger and chicken tikka masala for sure.
Unique and rich flavors. Some dishes are a bit spicy but still very delicious. Came on a weekend evening and very busy, although wait wasn't too long. Shout out to Saal for the service!
So delicious I immediately came back after a few days. Their chicken tikka masala might be one of the best I've had. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, just the right tenderness and juiciness. Paired with the rice it was amazing. Their naan was also super chewy and delicious. The outdoor seating area is huge and cute.
